Project summary
SALAM aims to support public authorities in fast-tracking the sustainable inclusion of migrants into local labour markets, harnessing their competences, capacities and ambitions, through developing targeted education, guidance and learning opportunities.
SALAM will seek to:
▶️ Develop and consolidate strategies to fast-track labour market integration of migrants in the EU.
▶️ Strengthen social cohesion in favour of inclusion of newcomers, in particular NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
▶️ Provide education, guidance and training designed specifically for a multicultural society
▶️ Ensure sustainable integration, reducing dropouts and creating security for third-country nationals

What will this project change
Faced with incoming migrants from within and outside of the EU, regional authorities need to be able to harness the skills and experience of these individuals for sustainable integration. SALAM aims to empower regional authorities to leverage migrant’s talents for robust labour markets and cohesive societies.
