REC4EU shares Good Practices and engagement examples (FI)

Tampere, Finland: On May 28th and 29th 2024, the Interreg Europe #REC4EU consortium was reunited for the 3^rd partners meeting in Finland.

The discussion was first focused on the means and tools already used in the different areas of Europe involved to improve the local policies.

In this occasion the 7 countries (France, Poland, Slovakia, Finland, Belgium, Italy, Spain) have had the opportunity to share their good practices.

Day1: Time to share the Good Practices of different countries in term of RECs! And let's vote and choose the best one! (more than 13 Good Practices were presented).

Among these 13, the Good Practice of CIRENA (CItoyens en Réseau pour des EnR en Nouvelle-Aquitaine) presented by the French partner Alec, was voted as the most outstanding for the partnership since it shows a very inspiring practice to develop citizen initiatives!

A participatory workshop, based on the engagement of different actors to join a community of energy, was organised with all the partners immersed in a role play game. Divided into groups, they worked and tried to develop persuasive messages, identifying different ways of communication to encourage the impact of all publics in renewable energy projects and design an engagement path to involve various categories into a REC

Day2: A site visit to LEMENE Energy System was organised by the local partner (The Council of Tampere Region) to lead the partners to discover an innovative municipal energy complex, including solar panels, gas engines, electrical storage devices and urban heating, as well as fuel cells.

The REC4EU project evaluated each good practice according to the following criteria:
