Launching "KnowledgeAnalytics": Kick-Off Event in Vilnius
The Research Council of Lithuania launched "KnowledgeAnalytics," officially known as "Advanced Analytics for Knowledge Transfer Monitoring and Evaluation." The goal is to transfer scientific knowledge to businesses and society, promote cooperation between science and business, and utilize knowledge valorization tools based on data analysis.
The kick-off meeting for "KnowledgeAnalytics" was a two-day event held in Vilnius, including study visits to the Vilnius University Faculty of Physics. Key participants in organizing and contributing to the event were Kristina Babelytė-Labanauskė, Prof. Dr. Pranciškus Vitta, Zita Duchovskienė, and Salomėja Vanagienė.
The agenda for Day 1 began with an overview of the KnowledgeAnalytics project objectives, activities, outputs, and expected results. Each project partner presented their regional or national activities related to the project, including best practices and how these topics relate to their respective policy instruments. The presentations also covered the partners' expected learning objectives from participating in the project. The afternoon sessions focused on exchanging good practices from Lithuania, with networking opportunities and discussions.
Day 2 started with a welcome and an overview of knowledge transfer processes by Dr. Kristina Babelytė-Labanauskė, Head of the Innovation Department at Vilnius University. This was followed by sessions on project management and coordination, covering the subsidy contract, partnership agreement, and communication activities. The event concluded with study visits and final remarks.
The initiative is supported by the Lithuanian Innovation Centre, Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (Slovakia), Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), LAB University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (Czech Republic), University of Mons (Belgium), and Estonian Research Council (Estonia). These partners aim to enhance knowledge transfer through the application of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and big data.
