About the project
Climate changes will also bring a loss of biodiversity and are a threat to ecosystems. It contributes to habitat loss, species extinction ecosystem degradation and reducing biodiversity. The impact is magnified by the adverse effects of urban areas, which for example emissions from industries, increased land use for agriculture instead of natural habitats.
The project objective is to improve the implementation of regional development policies in the field of water management in which the potential of NbS are fully incorporated. Thanks to the increased institutional capacities of the consortium partners regions are better able to effectuate their water management. Our aim is to provide regional policymakers and stakeholders with best practices and lessons learned on how to promote the implementation of NbS thereby contributing to the water resilient regions who are able to survive and are also able to adapt to future climate developments.
